Author Donna Barratt, who was raised in Savannah and now lives in the Kansas City area, will discuss her novel "Beneath the Dust" in two appearances Friday, May 30, at Rolling Hills Consolidated Library. She will speak at noon at the Belt Branch, 1904 N. Belt Hwy., and at 2 p.m. at the Savannah Branch, 514 W. Main. The book is a fictionalized account of how her family came together in the Great Depression.
